At Proletariat, fostering a welcoming, safe environment for all players is the most important goal with all of our community spaces. Every member of the Spellbreak community is a representative of the kind of community we want to create, so let’s work together to make it a place where everyone enjoys participating!

This Code of Conduct is a guide for interaction within the Spellbreak community, both in-game and out-of-game. We’ve included some examples below, but please keep in mind that just because something is not listed, it does not mean it is sanctioned behavior.

Participation in the Spellbreak Alpha/Beta and community is a privilege. Violation of these rules can result in action taken against your account, including a permanent ban in exceptional cases.

Community Code of Conduct

Toxic Behavior

Be polite and respectful of others, even if you disagree with your fellow players/community members or member of the development team. Avoid making condescending comments, call-outs (such as “git gud”), or negative comments that have the sole purpose of invoking a negative response from other members of the community.

Intolerance and Bigotry

Avoid making comments about politics, race, sexuality, creed, religion, gender, ableism, or other forms of bigotry. This includes mocking or pejorative use of the words “retarded” and “gay.” If you’re unsure about whether something you are thinking of posting falls into this category, it’s probably best to assume that it does.

Harassment

We’re all here to test and enjoy Spellbreak. Any communication that is predatory, threatening, intimidating, lewd, demeaning, derogatory, invasive of privacy, or abusive is considered harassment. This also includes doxxing, impersonation, griefing, and unwelcome after-game messages.

Cheating, Teaming, and Trolling

Play fair. Do not cheat, team, grief, troll, or exploit bugs that impact the game outcome. If you find a bug, please report it to the team.

Inappropriate Content

Do not make graphic comments or post graphic imagery, including sexual topics, pornography, and gore.

Alternate Accounts

Do not use alternate accounts, VPNs, or other means to avoid bans or mutes.

Illegal Activity

Respect your local laws and do not encourage or participate in illegal or dangerous activities. Threats of harm, including self-harm, are taken seriously.

Spamming

Do not advertise or spam.

Selling Keys, Skins, and Accounts

Do not discuss buying, selling, or bartering for Spellbreak keys, skins, and accounts.

Consequences

In the event that a player violates this Code of Conduct, they may receive a warning with an accompanying message explaining why the warning is being issued. Warnings can be issued for a range of offenses such as (but not limited to) spamming, abusive or rude behavior, personal insults or threats against others or the company, inappropriate content, excessive profanity, and other similar violations.

Further violations of this Code of Conduct can result in action taken against your Spellbreak game account, as well as your participation permissions in the Spellbreak community, including but not limited to the Spellbreak subreddit, the Spellbreak Discord, and the Proletariat Twitch channel

Do not message the Elders, Sages, Apprentices, or members of the Proletariat team in an abusive manner about specific moderation instances. Issues or questions regarding moderation instances are to be directed to playspellbreak.com/appeals.

Participation in the Spellbreak Closed Beta is a privilege. The Community Team reserves the right to remove privileges from any member who violates this Code of Conduct or harms/threatens any other player in any way.

If you feel that a member of the Spellbreak community has violated these rules, please send us a report.
